Mid-December we were contacted by Norwich City Football club with a rather out of the ordinary request for Vanilla Kipferl biscuits. These biscuits are beautiful. They are an incredibly light shortbread biscuit made with almond flour and coated in vanilla sugar. They are the quintessential German Christmas biscuit, however in the UK they are a not well known at all.
As it later transpired, these biscuits were ordered directly by Norwich City’s manager Daniel Farke (who is German) as a Christmas gift to the football players.
It has been a real pleasure making these delicious biscuits packs. Especially since we could bake for someone who is just as passionate about sharing the taste of home as we are!
