Our signature jam biscuits are inspired by a traditional Austrian Christmas biscuit called Linzer cookie. Co-founder Lisa hails from the South of Germany, and our jam biscuits are made to her Grandmother’s Linzer recipe (excluding the nuts).

Nigella Lawson wrote about Linzer cookies on BBC Food. Her words perfectly convey how truly special these biscuits are:

“In its wildest dreams, a jammy dodger could never aspire to the melting tenderness and celestial lightness of the Linzer cookie. The idea is the same: two biscuits, sandwiched together with jam, a hole or small shape cut out of the top one, so that the jam glints beckoningly through. But the Linzer cookie’s dough is rich and short. It’s the extravagant Austrian Christmas version.” – Nigella Lawson

Fondant Biscuit ingredients

Wheat flour, Butter (milk), Sugar, Eggs, Baking powder (may contain wheat), Vanilla sugar, Glucose Syrup, Palm Oil, Water, Humectant (Glycerol), Emulsifier (Mono- and Di-Glycerides of Fatty Acids), Stabilisers (Xanthan Gum, Cellulose), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate), Flavouring, food colouring.

Colours may include: E422, E1520, E551, E110*, E124*, E129*, E133, E155, E102*, E122, E153, E104*, E159, E171.

Please note that we bake in a facility that handles gluten, eggs, dairy products, nuts, soya, and sulphites. We cannot guarantee that our products are free from trace amounts of any of these allergens.

We bake all our biscuits to order. They have a shelf life of 2 weeks. You can extend this to 6 weeks by placing them in an airtight container.
